Wicker & Flame – Terms & Conditions

 

Welcome to Wicker & Flame. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website and the purchase of any products from us. By browsing our website or placing an order, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before purchasing.

These Terms are intended to be clear, fair, and compliant with Australian Consumer Law (ACL).


1. General Overview

  • By accessing our website or placing an order with Wicker & Flame, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.

  • We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms at any time. The version published on our website at the time of your purchase will apply to your order.


2. Handmade & Made-to-Order Products

  • Wicker & Flame is a made-to-order candle business. All products are individually handmade once an order is placed.

  • Due to the handmade nature of our products, minor variations in colour, finish, wax appearance, fragrance strength, or charm placement may occur. These variations are a natural part of the production process and do not constitute a fault.


3. Processing Times

  • Our standard processing time is up to 10 business days (Monday–Friday, excluding public holidays).

  • Processing time begins the business day after your order is placed.

  • Processing time does not include shipping or courier transit time.

  • Processing times are clearly stated across our website. It is the customer’s responsibility to review and understand these timeframes before completing a purchase.


4. Shipping & Dispatch

  • Shipping notifications may be automatically generated when a shipping label is created.

  • An order is considered dispatched only once it has been collected by the courier, not when a label is created.

  • Once dispatched, delivery timeframes are determined by the courier and are outside of our control.

  • Wicker & Flame is not responsible for courier delays, missed deliveries, or transit issues once an order has been collected by the courier.


5. Christmas & Peak Period Orders

  • Christmas and peak-period delivery cut-off dates are provided as a guide only.

  • Orders placed after the stated cut-off date for your state are not guaranteed to arrive before Christmas.

  • Wicker & Flame accepts no responsibility for late deliveries during peak periods once an order is placed after the advertised cut-off dates.

  • It is the customer’s responsibility to review processing times, cut-off dates, and these Terms before placing an order during peak periods.


6. Order Changes, Cancellations & Refunds

Custom Order Policy

  • All Wicker & Flame products are custom-made to order based on the fragrance, design, and options selected at checkout.

  • Once an order has been placed, it cannot be changed, cancelled, or refunded.

No Change of Mind Refunds

  • We operate under a strict no-refund policy for change of mind, including but not limited to:

    • Ordering the wrong item

    • Selecting an incorrect fragrance or design

    • Failure to review processing times

    • Requesting changes after checkout

Australian Consumer Law

  • Refunds, repairs, or replacements will only be provided where required under Australian Consumer Law.

  • A product is considered faulty if it has a major defect as defined under the ACL.

  • Minor variations inherent to handmade products do not constitute a fault.


7. Faulty or Damaged Items

  • If your item arrives damaged or faulty, you must contact us within 48 hours of delivery with clear photographic evidence.

  • We reserve the right to assess the issue before determining an appropriate resolution in line with Australian Consumer Law.


8. Customer Responsibility

  • By placing an order, you acknowledge that you have reviewed:

    • Product descriptions

    • Processing times

    • Shipping information

    • These Terms & Conditions

  • Failure to review this information does not entitle a customer to a refund or cancellation.


9. Limitation of Liability

  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wicker & Flame is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the use of our products or website.

  • Our liability is limited to the remedies required under Australian Consumer Law.
